Actions Speak Louder

"Action speaks louder than words."

This phrase has been around for many, many years. And it is quite true.

People judge you by your actions, not by your intentions. You may have a heart of gold, but so does a hard boiled egg.

Have a good day!
Love,
Dad

Talk no more so exceeding proudly; Let not arrogancy come out of your mouth; For Jehovah is a God of knowledge, And by him actions are weighed.
(1 Samuel 2:3)

And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord. Servants, be obedient unto them that according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; not in the way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; with good will doing service, as unto the Lord, and not unto men: knowing that whatsoever good thing each one doeth, the same shall he receive again from the Lord, whether he be bond or free. And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, and forbear threatening: knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no respect of persons with him. Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints, and on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
(Ephesians 6:4-20)

Responsibility

This sign informs the general public that the local government is not responsible for the upkeep of a road. Whenever there are improvements required, it is the responsibility of the developers and/or owners to correct the situations.

My first thought when I saw the roadsign was the condition of your room. While it is true that your mother does attempt to clean your room, ultimately, that responsibility is your own.

Likewise, each of us has the responsibility of our own lives. All of our actions have some sort of bearing upon ourselves.

Be careful to maintain good and beneficial actions!

Have a good day!

Dad

This is the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
(Ecclesiastes 12:13-14)

Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother sin, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye would say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you. But who is there of you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say unto him, when he is come in from the field, Come straightway and sit down to meat; and will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Doth he thank the servant because he did the things that were commanded? Even so ye also, when ye shall have done all the things that are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which it was our duty to do.
(Luke 17:3-10)

Good Things

Time to get away and enjoy a period of rest and relaxation. I hope you have a good spring break.

It has been said that we are in actions and behavior what we habitually think. The old adage, "garbage in, garbage out" is true. Also true, "success in, success out." If we become what we think then it would be good to think on good things.

The apostle Paul in Philippians 4:8 says to think on these things:

* whatever things are true
* whatever things are honest
* whatever things are just
* whatever things are pure
* whatever things are lovely
* whatever things are of good report

Remember these things not only next week in Florida, but continually think on them. It will do you good.

Have a good day!
Love,
Dad
